Yog Sunder completes 90 years of an eventful life- A life devoted to Dance.

Yog Sunder has seen 90 years of the changing face of India from his pre independence childhood days spent under the guidance of Gandhiji and his freedom fighter parents to the present age of modern India. Yog Sunder has seen the world of Dance in India as a boy of ten, when he saw Uday Shankar perform in Bombay. He has been a part of this world of Indian Dance from his days at Santiniketan’s Sangeet Bhawan between 1939-1941 during Tagore’s lifetime, the world of Kathakali in Kerala during pre-independence era where he met Vallathol to express his desire to learn Kathakali, the Dance Scene in Bombay in the forties, the Dance of Ram Gopal in Bangalore whom he joined in the forties the world of Dance in Kolkata in the fifties & sixties where he formed the Indian Revival Group in 1948 and the Dance of Delhi where he moved in the seventies.
