The Indian Revival Group in Leh
“ Our troops in Leh were afforded a rare opportunity to witness Indian classical dancing by well-known Indian Revival Group. The troops went into raptures over the performance of the dancers. They appreciated the fine gesture of the troupe which had undertaken the tiresome trip to reach a high altitude (11500 feet) to entertain the soldiers. The group was persuaded to give an open air show for all Ladakhis in Leh. This special show was seen by over four thousand people. Nearly 200 performances of the Group were for the benefit of the Armed Forces”
